Our data use commitments:
TAi Grader uses the Anthropic Claude API to provide AI-assisted grading and feedback. When a teacher submits a student assignment for AI grading, the text content of that submission is sent to Anthropic's API servers for processing.
Important disclosures about AI processing:
Teachers are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate institutional authorization before submitting student work to AI-assisted grading tools. We recommend reviewing your school or district's AI use policy prior to use.
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), 20 U.S.C. § 1232g, protects the privacy of student education records. TAi Grader is designed to operate in compliance with FERPA.
TAi Grader's FERPA position:
Teacher responsibility: Teachers using TAi Grader are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate authorization from their institution to use third-party educational technology tools with student data. This includes compliance with any district-level data privacy agreements or technology use policies.
